This week's giveaway is the perfect gift for a new or expecting parent! We are offering a starter kit from the amazing baby carrying blog Carry Me Away. It includes:
• a personalized tutorial to teach you (or the recipient of your gift) how to properly use this carrier, for maximum benefit to caregiver and baby. The tutorial can be in-person or on video, via Skype. Skype is free, all you need is a webcam on your computer.
The best way to learn proper use of a baby carrier is by having someone show you. Experienced babywearers have been teaching new parents correct positioning for years, and Carry Me Away continues that tradition. Learn how to use your new carrier and ask all the questions you want about these and other carriers you may be interested in down the road!
CMA babywearing expert & owner Laurel McCarthy will demonstrate step-by-step for you how to use your carrier and then watch as you do it yourself, offering pointers and suggestions along the way. By the end of a session with Laurel, you will feel confident in using your carrier with your baby!

ReplyDeleteOK I have become a pro at holding the baby while I squeeze the dish washing liquid into the dishwasher with my legs, LOL It is a funny sight to see :) you are already on my blogroll :)
Where to start....getting dinner ready, cleaning house, and tending to my 2 other children's needs. This baby is more demanding and fussy unless held, so it takes so much longer to get anything accomplished.
ReplyDeleteIt would DEFINITELY have to be going to the bathroom, in a public restroom that is. Yes, I have done it and it WAS NOT pretty!!!

ReplyDeleteI always seem to be making a bottle with my son in arms. Warming water in the microwave, pouring precious breastmilk into the small mouth bottle and my son eagerly kicking his legs and trying to grab the bottle out of my hand!

I think doing the laundry was especially hard, but even sitting down and relaxing with a book would be a lot easier with baby close and comfortable in a sling.
ReplyDeleteno sure yet, but hoping to have this cool sling before I deliver next month! :)

Chores are something I find challenging when I have a child in my arms. Those early months when the itty bitty wants to be held all the time means the house goes down hill. With a sling it makes life soo much better and chores actually get done.
ReplyDeletelaundry! it was hard to watch out for little heads while lugging around baskets.
ReplyDeleteChange the toddlers' diaper! Thank goodness we got him potty trained quickly!

Unloading the dishwasher...goodness, the number of times I nearly dropped my last one in as I leant over to pick something up out of it...in fact, just leaning over to pick things up in general...
