Friday Giveaway: Vivesana Sunscreen

A Brand is Born

We all want labels we can understand and trust. We all want companies to be transparent, responsible, and green, from the bottom up.
We all want smooth, healthy skin.

Mamas, meet Vivesana.
  • the first 70% organic baby and high performance sun care on the planet.
  • the strongest 100% natural sun care (SPFs 40 & 42) anywhere.
  • the only sun care - as far as we can tell - to use exclusively US-grown organics and domestic, sustainable, BPA-free packaging.
Chemistry without Chemicals.

Many assume serious sun protection requires synthetics. In fact, most water-based synthetic sunscreens don't provide adequate barrier support. Plus, many sunscreen synthetics have known health risks. Solar to Polar Baby is designed to protect kids' skin from a wide range of threats. Sun, dry air, wind, and water suck moisture from the skin, causing cracks, chapping, improper cell shedding, and sensitivity. It provides crucial barrier support, helping to block wind and lock in moisture.

Safer, Inside & Out

Babies and children are particularly vulnerable to sunscreen synthetics. Solar to Polar Baby uses only gentle non-synthetic ingredients and local, sustainable BPA-free and phthalate-free packaging. It's simply safer for your child and better for the planet.
We love that we can slather this product on our kids and know that not only are they protected from the sun, but that we are not covering them with harmful chemicals.  It feels good to know you can trust the product you are using.  Also, a little goes a very long way so it will last quite a while!

We will be giving away a set of Vivesana sunscreen (one for adults and one for kiddos).  Answer the following question to be entered in the giveaway:

How do you remember to lather your kids up before they head out to play in the sunshine?

  1. My kid (baby) only goes outside in her stroller or our arms...so I just remember to lather her up when I do the same. :)

  3. The CO sun is intense, so you can't forget. I keep sunscreen by the sliding door to the backyard and in my car. I also have a travel size tube in my purse just in case. I am a little bummed that we are out of the habit of wearing hats outside. I like the extra protection it provides.

  4. I keep it in the Kitchen (by the backdoor), in purse, our outing bag - mostly it helps to have atleast one child who is ultra sensitive, a few missed moments and he will be pink.

  5. I just make sure I always have hats and sunscreen in the car for the spontaneous stop at the park. :) Julie

  10. It's become part of our leaving the house ritual...I make it a game with the squiggly snakes of sunlotion getting massaged in before our outings. Our oldest actually likes to do it himself, which leaves a very white looking boy sometimes!

  12. All I have to do is look down at the freckles on my own arms and they instantly remind me to lather up my kiddos!

  13. I find it's so much easier to lather up my 2-year-old and 6-month-old before they are dressed, so on days that we are going to be outside I bring the sunscreen into their rooms and we make it part of the getting ready process. Plus this way I know that parts of their pale skin that are covered with thin clothing still have sunscreen protection underneath.

    Thanks!

  15. I love this! I hate the debate of skin cancer vs. chemicals on the skin that cause cancer.

I keep a basket of sunscreen by the front door, in the car, in the beach bag, etc. I have also trained my kids to remind me.
