Not in need of more calories? Think about this. As Americans consume more calories than ever before, it is important to understand that beverages can often be the leading culprit. Recent research from American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that cutting down on liquid calories had a stronger effect on weight loss than reducing calories from solid foods.
We have fallen for this new zero-calorie beverage from R.W. Knudsen Family , Sparkling Essence. It is a simple combination of sparkling spring water infused with the finest organic ingredients.
Zero-calorie, zero-sugar, zero artificial flavors.
How is it zero-everything? The organic ingredients are brewed in fresh spring water. Then the fruit is extracted leaving only the subtle flavor of the fruit without the sugar or calories
Essences are packaged in 10.5-ounce slim cans, sold individually and in 4-pack carriers and will be available in grocers nationwide starting in June.

And now, for the winner of last week's giveaway:

Pepsi is my weakness. These drinks sound great.
ReplyDeleteI subscribe.
ReplyDeleteUgh. I am one of the few people in America who is not drinking my calories! I am just stuffing my face with them!
ReplyDeleteUnless you count Dunkin Donuts coffee, I'm sure that's chock full o' calories.
At most, I only drink about 200 calories a day. a glass or two of wine and 3-4 Tablespoons of Carnation French Vanilla Creamer. I want to find an alternative to the creamer because it does have HFCS, but I want to find something that taste the same too. I cut out regular Soda in January. That with other little changes helped me lose 15 pounds.
ReplyDeleteI just cut gatorade out of my diet...I drank it occasionally when I was pregnant last year and sick of drinking water. Then I kept drinking it until I looked at the label last week. 200 calories in one container! No thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou've been in my blogroll forever. http://www.alilwelshrarebit.com/
ReplyDeleteI drink WAY too much diet mt. dew!

Is it bad if I say wine? I really don't drink much other than ice water and green tea.
ReplyDeleteYou're on my blog: www.babyvalone.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI only drink soda on the weekends, but if I could do without that I'm sure I would be better off. I also splurge during the week on lemonade and sweetened tea. Naughty!
ReplyDeleteCoffee Bean & Tea Leaf Ice Blendeds & Margaritas.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I am really a water monger as a BFing mother... but if I had to cut anything else I guess it would be my occassional Decaf Soy Mocha. But that would just be cruel, I'd rather not eat a snack than cut that occassional treat!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a Dr. Pepper girl! If I could find a drink that I liked as much with little or no calories that would be wonderful. Maybe these Sparkling Essence Beverages are just what I've been looking for!
ReplyDeleteLattes with caramel. Oh the sugary sweetness... I do use skim milk, but I can't give up the sugar.
ReplyDeleteSoda Pop! I have been trying to make the change to diet soda, but I don't like drinking unnatural ingredients!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this Knudsen's
Sparkling Essence Beverage.
Please count me in.
Many thanks, Cindi

ReplyDeleteprobably smoothies! i love them, but they are packed with calories. perhaps opting for a little bit of fresh fruit rather than smoothies would be a better option!

these drinks sound impressive and good. i was skeptical when seeing the name but I think I'm down with them after hearing about the process in which they're made :)
ReplyDeleteFor the answer to the question - I pretty much only drink water and milk (dairy milk and soy milk) so I really don't want to cut out those calories. If I had to pick, I'd X the dairy milk and stick to soy.
