I would wear it to dinner somewhere quiet by the ocean lit with candles or something fun. Music would have to be around for some dancing. And with those shoes I would dance. Oh yes, I would.

I'm voting for the Vanderbilt and I want to wear it for a romantic candle-lit dinner at some cute little ocean-side restaurant in Greece! Oh to watch the sun set there!
ReplyDeleteI'm absolutely in love with the black tuxedo dress IV. I would love a Valentine's date in Boone, NC. First a drive through the mountains, then we would eat at the Gamekeeper, a lovely restaurant we found on our honeymoon, and then I'd want to stay at a quaint B&B. Sigh...

ReplyDeleteMy dream date would involve delicious food, chocolate, dancing, star light, and probably my husband. And I love the Tuxedo IV dress. I wanted to choose something different than everyone else, but I do love that dress. If I don't win I'm going to have to start saving up money for it.
ReplyDeleteMy dream date would transport me to the incandescently charming city of Antigua, Guatemala. We'd have an early dinner at the fabulous monastery-turned-hotel of Casa Santa Domingo, then stroll the streets at dusk. The vintage, lacy Antiquated or the innocent white Daisy would be my dress of choice on this evening.

love the slate dress. I would wear it to a restaurant in Paris with my hubby, for my dream date. : )
ReplyDeleteDream date would be in Mexico on the beach wearing the STORM dress!
ReplyDeleteI love the ballerian dress. I love the ruching. I think I would like to go somewhere seaside and enjoy a nice dinner with wine while watching the waves. That sounds heavenly.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore all of the dresses on Shabby Apple!
ReplyDeleteMy perfect date requires three important ingredients: the city of London, my fabulous husband, and the lovely Marseilles dress paired with some cute (yet comfy!) red heels.
The date kicks off with a stroll through the National Gallery of Art where we catch a tour with one of the curators. Afterwards, we head to Gordon Ramsay's Boxwood Cafe for a hearty Angus ribeye and a savory goat cheese tart. (Plus a dessert or two. Hmm, maybe three.) And once our tummies are full, we'll cap off the evening with a play at the National Theatre.
Oh, how I love London and cute dresses! (And my husband too, of course!)
I love the cats cradle dress from shabby! it's jersey and in a bright color. I'd wear it and have a dream date of flying to remote places with my husband that we've always wanted to travel too. Places nobody has really heard of experience the local culture for a weekend. Maybe somewhere in indonesia. Plus...Jersy is great for traveling no wrinkles!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great site! I love the Grey Tuxedo Dress, Slate. I would pick that one for myself - and while I was shopping would pick up the Storm dress for my good friend Stacy.
ReplyDeleteWe would go on a double date with our sweet husbands, starting with a hike at Torrey Pines State Park, home to change into those gorgeous dresses, then a chef's tasing dinner (including wine pairings) at Firefly, a local San Diego restaurant.
Love it!
I have to agree - the brown wrap dress is my pick too. I'd WANT to wear it out to some amazingly good Broadway show, but it's a lot more likely that I'd wear it to church. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's okay too though! Thanks for a fun giveaway!

I select the Vanderbilt Black Silk Dress. Ideally, it would fit fabulously, and be very comfortable. I'd wear it to a steakhouse called "Ruth's Chris", where my husband and I would have a great steak dinner. I'd pair it with black pumps and pearls. Since we have four kids, this would be a real dream date!!!!

ReplyDeleteI think my dream dress would be the black widow...my hubby would flip.
ReplyDeleteMy dream dress from Shabby Apple is "Nantucket". I love how it's so elegant, but versatile, and perfectly structured for my short waist.
ReplyDeleteI feel that the perfect date is an opportunity to spend time enjoying my husband, so for me it's less about doing something exciting, and more about quality time together. So I'd start by driving to a certain winery I know in the Sierra foothills (my husband has never been there), where we'd have an early dinner. The landscaping is outstanding. And he'd buy me some fine jewelry from the shop (I am dreaming here!) Then we'd drive through the Gold Country, enjoying the scenery and ending up at a bed and breakfast.
I think the Nantucket dress would be great for a day like that- but could easily be dressed up or down for lots of different activities. Which makes it dreamy!

My dream is to be able to take my husband to Hawaii, and my dream would be to take a dinner cruise there with him at sunset.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect dress for my perfect date is the Vanderbilt. I would place it in my suitcase as we pack to fly to San Antonio, Texas. Ah, that city of romance! Our perfect date would be for an extra long weekend. My husband and I would stroll on the Riverwalk, shop in delightful little boutiques, and visit the Mexican market to feel like we'd suddenly traveled to Old Mexico. We would dine in numerous restaurants, go for a cruise on the river, gallery and museum-hop, and visit the Alamo and other nearby missions. We would stay several nights in a quaint bed and breakfast and spend lots of quiet time together. This is the perfect date because it helps recapture our San Antonio honeymoon 32 years ago. We will celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary on Feb. 26, 2009. Here's to the Vanderbilt - the perfect dress for the perfect date on a perfect 32nd wedding anniversary trip!

My Dream Dress is the Ballerina Dress from Shabby Apple Designs. My dream dress has to be very feminine, classy with a touch of sexiness to it and most importantly it has to make me feel confident and happy about myself. We all want to bring out our personal best, especially when it comes to a special occasion where we are dressing up and having a beautiful dress that makes us feel glamorous and carefree is what will set the tone for the occasion, whatever that may be. There are a number of elements that must come together, and beginning with a dress that is comfortable and chic is sure to start the occasion off on the right foot! My idea of a perfect date is to go to an ultra hip, very trendy Sushi Restaurant with my husband where we can spend some quality time together eating healthy food and enjoy some Saki together. After the romantic sushi dinner I would then love to go to a local spanish bar that has live music and dance to some salsa music! Dancing to Salsa music, Spanish music is fun, sexy, hot, and is a perfect way to add some romance and heat into your relationship and let loose for a while. That is my idea of bringing out the best in what I wear and also spending some quality time bonding with my husband out on the perfect night on the town! Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter.

Here goes: My favorite is A Sunday Afternoon dress. Starting a month ago I told my husband that I was going to exercise like a crazy woman and lose 30 lbs. before the end of May so I could order this dress and look great in it for his graduation from NYU Dental school. I thought it would be a deserved reward if I was able to do it. So here I am one month in and have lost 10 lbs. I go back to Shabby Apple often to be reminded of my goal and check out my fabulous reward to make sure it is still there and to encourage me to keep going! So my dream place would be to wear it to hubbies graduation as it has been a long haul and I can't believe he will be finally done! I'm so proud of him. We've been married for 10 years and he has been in school the whole time. So here's to a HOT body and a beautiful dress to go with it! Oooops, sorry for the long post.
ReplyDeleteConsidering the current baby in my belly I would pick the Bow Baby dress. It would springtime, and I would wear it in Central Park with the hubs, where we would pick up a bite and spend the late afternoon strolling hand in hand.

My dream dress is the Duck Beach dress, and I would wear it for a romantic picnic on the hill where my husband and I fell in love. We'd grab some milkshakes from our favorite college hangout and after the picnic we'd sit in front of the church where we spent out first date (after a thunderstorm caught us by surprise during a walk around campus).
I've spent the past several months trying to get back to my "date-weight" because I wanted to look good for my husband- I've lost over 20 pounds (from a size 12 to a size 6) and would love this great dress to show it off in!!
Thanks for this giveaway...Shabby Apple clothes are fabulous!

I LOVE all of the dresses. But I think the Park Avenue is cute and different.
ReplyDeleteMy dream date would be anywhere with my hubby, without the kids. We are both working full time and trying to go to school, so anytime together would be great.
I think it would be great to get dressed up in my new dress, go to a fun concert or play, then dinner, followed by a fun bed and breakfest, where we could sleep in and relax.
Thanks
Heather

ReplyDeleteTuxedo IV darling.
ReplyDeleteAnd, like most perfect black dresses that I have owned, I would bring it out on beautiful occasions.
Such as that one time in Puerto Rico, when my boyfriend called my clients and arranged for me to take the day off, unbeknown to me of course. He then called with my surprise date, giving me the afternoon to prepare. I did, of course, pull out the perfect black dress and tucked a swimsuit in my clutch (I never went anywhere without one). We went to what is famed as the best Argentine restaurant in the world (it was pretty great, I must admit) and then sea kayaking/swimming at midnight underneath the full moon in a bioluminescent bay. It was, to say the least, one of the most romantic nights of my life.
Why reinvent the wheel? I would just replicate such an awesome date. But this time I would do it on Oahu (well minus the bioluminescence since they are rare). And with a new perfect black dress, as my previous one ripped on a tree branch in San Juan.
I would wear the Lois Lane. How appropriate for a date with my husband, who I consider to be my Super Man??? He would take me to a wonderful Italian dinner where we would DEFINITELY order dessert and then we would go to the theatre where we would see a musical (hopefully Wicked or Phantom of the Opera).
ReplyDeleteI like the storm dress. I'd love to wear it to any of the opera productions I attend several times a year. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteM favorite is the Black Silk Dress and I'd love to wear it to the opera with my husband.
ReplyDeleteI love the Black Silk Dress! My dream date would be a fancy dinner at an upscale restaurant.
