Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love the simplicity of it. There is no big merchandise blitz in the stores. Just a simple day of good food, time with family and a day set aside to ponder gratitude. Learning to be more thankful and how to walk in the wake of gratitude has been one of my goals this year. It has made a HUGE difference in how I perceive my life.

One year ago, the day before Thanksgiving, my son's adoption was finalized. Thanksgiving will forever be a little more meaningful to me.

ReplyDeleteI like that..."I want to want what I have."
ReplyDeleteI have so much - a husband, son, family, friends, a home, a job - SO much to be thankful for.
I am glad we have a day set aside to be mindful of our gratitude - too bad there isn't one day a week or month!
first and foremost I am thankful for Jesus Christ and also that we live in a country where we can freely worship him. Second I am thankful for my wonderful husband, Jay, and our beautiful daughter, Laina. I really could go on and on, but those are the most important ones.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that once I was lost but now I am found (thank you, Jesus). And I am grateful for being given more than I could have hoped or dreamed in a husband and children. I am grateful for the men and women that serve our country and are willing to sacrifice their lives for our safety and freedom.
ReplyDeleteI am incredibly thankful for my husband, my children and our simple little home! I am thankful for my community and my God! I wish you all great peace this year!
