Friday Giveaway: Blurb Book

Looking for a gift for that special someone in your life who seems to have everything?  How about a book custom made for them?  We have fallen for Blurb.com in a big way!  If your holiday funds are a little on the lighter side this year (whose aren't?), why not invest a little more human capital to create something truly personal that will last a lifetime? A Blurb book is a fantastic gift that won't break the bank but looks and feels like it should have.

We recently made two photo books on Blurb and it was easy peasy! Just choose your photos and drag and drop them, add your text on the pages that you want "journaling" on, and you have your very own photo book featuring your family in a big way! It is every grandmother's Christmas gift come true!  You can see a preview of the book Ali made here - it is a collection of photos from her family's summer vacation.

We also have a clever friend who has written children's books for his children, starring them as the main characters and printed them at Blurb! The options for creativity are endless, but the cost is reasonable and it is a pretty simple process!

Visit Blurb's  Holiday Book Idea resource for more ideas!

Blurb.com is going to give 5 of our readers the opportunity to make their very own books!  To enter, please leave us a comment telling us what kind of book you would make if you win and who it would be for!
[this giveaway will be closed on Thursday, November 27th at 10 PM, & the winner will be announced next Friday!]

  10. If I were to make a blurb book, I think I would either do one from my adoption blog for my daughter to have as a keepsake of all the many months (almost years) we spent praying for her and thinking of her before her homecoming OR I would make one as a keepsake for the family fostering her now, so that they will always have a special memento of their time with her.

  13. What a great give-away! I would make a Blurb Book for my Blog. I've done one before when we moved and documented the entire building process. What a neat keepsake. This time I'd do one of my day-to-day blog and who would that be for? My kids - as they will treasure these captured memories down the road!

  14. 2008 marked the beginning of the end of our "20's" for my group of girlfriends. I am one of the last to reach 30 (2 years to go) and JUST yesterday asked them to begin working on some "words of wisdom" and experiences from that decade of their lives. I'm going to compile them into a book along with pictures of all of us. I think it will be a really special way to commemorate that decade of our lives. Thank you for passing on this resource!

  25. Blurb works in conjunction with the site I use to host my photos (Smug Mug) so I'd love to make a 2008 book. I'm getting very behind in my scrapbooking, and I'm in the market for a new company. So the chance to give Blurb a try for free would be ideal.

(And I'm so excited for the win! Sending an e-mail right now.)

Our pursuit of a calling has been an adventure for us, but a hardship for some very devoted and wonderful grandparents. I'd love to make a book of "grandchildren adventures" for my mom and dad. They would treasure it!
